NEW INITIATIVE FOR 2026!
This call invites students to present their innovative research at SysCon 2026. We invite all undergraduate and graduate students working in or interested in systems engineering to submit an abstract for presentation.
Option 1 (In-Person Poster Track):
- The deadline for submissions is January 25, 2026.
- Notifications will be sent out early February.
- Authors submit a 2-page extended abstract (including references).
- Accepted students must present a poster in person at SysCon.
- At least one author per paper must register to present the poster. There will be a special registration rate of $400 for student poster authors.
- Extended abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings and published in IEEE Xplore.
- Authors should use the IEEE templates for their paper submission.

Option 2 (Virtual Student Session):
- DEADLINE EXTENDED to February 22, 2026.
- Notifications will be sent out in early March.
- Authors submit an abstract (250–350 words).
- Accepted students will present virtually via a Zoom session.
- The Zoom session will be held during the week of SysCon 2026 (day will be announced soon).
- Presenting authors must register with a discounted registration fee of $25 USD.
- Student authors will receive a complimentary IEEE membership for 1 year.
- Abstracts will not be published in the proceedings or in IEEE Xplore.
- Use the guidelines below for your abstract submission.

- Student Name

- Student’s Major Department and Study Level (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate)
- Faculty Advisor Name, University Name and Country
- Abstract Title
- Keywords (5 maximum)
SECOND PAGE
- The second page contains the Abstract which should summarize the research. At a minimum, it should include the following:
- Research title
- Area of research and how it relates to systems engineering or systems thinking
- Research goal
- Brief description of the research
- Methods used
- Research results

- Bibliography/References

EDAS Submission Instructions
Create an EDAS account:
- Visit the EDAS portal and click "New Users."
- Fill in the required fields (name, affiliation, country, email, status).
- Check the Privacy box and click “Add Person.”
- Save your EDAS credentials.
Submit your work:
- Log into EDAS and select the appropriate submission track.
- Enter your title, abstract (for reviewer reference), and choose a topic area.
- Click Submit.
Upload your PDF:
- Click the yellow folder icon next to “Review Manuscript” to upload your PDF.
- Alternatively, use the My Papers tab and click the upload icon.
