Oral Presentation Guidelines
Arrival & Check-In
Speakers should arrive in their assigned session room at least 10 minutes before the start of the session to report to the Session Chair.
Please bring your presentation on a personal USB drive and upload/save your slides to the session room laptop prior to the start of the session. Authors may also upload their slides during a break or lunch prior to their session.
Presentation Timing
Each paper is allocated a 20-minute total slot, consisting of approximately:
- 15 minutes for the presentation
- 5 minutes for Q&A and discussion
Presenters should plan their slides accordingly to remain within the allotted time.
Room Setup & Equipment
Each session room will be equipped with:
- A projector
- A computer with Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Reader
Projectors are configured for a 16:9 aspect ratio. Authors are encouraged to format slides accordingly.
Presentation Slides
- PowerPoint slides are strongly preferred.
- Slides in PDF format are acceptable, but not preferred.
- As a general guideline, presenters should prepare approximately 1 slide per minute (i.e., ~25 slides). Additional backup slides may be included to address anticipated questions.
Slide Design Best Practices
- Avoid overcrowding slides with text or graphics.
- Slides should support the presentation, not be read verbatim.
- Use graphics where possible to communicate key ideas clearly.
- Use large, readable fonts (typically 20-point font or larger).
- Optional: You may download the SysCon 2026 PowerPoint template [here].
Presentation Requirement
All accepted papers must be presented at the conference in order to be published.
If the primary author is unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances, a co-author must present the paper or a proxy presenter must be approved by the General Chair and Program Chair.
Each paper must be associated with a full conference registration (member or non-member) by one of the authors. Student registrations do not cover paper publication.
IMPORTANT: Any paper not presented at the conference will not be included in the official proceedings submitted to IEEE Xplore.
Poster Presentation Guidelines (Only for the Student Poster Track)
The poster should be printed in A0 size, portrait style. Posters must be no larger than portrait A0 (841mm × 1189mm) (33.1 x 46.8 in). Authors will need to arrange poster printing on their own.
Posters larger than these dimensions will exceed the allocated space per poster and it will not be possible to display the poster during the Conference. It is therefore essential that the poster adheres to the specified measurements.
Details on the time and date of the poster session(s) will be announced soon.
